Zepp Baseball & Softball App Reviews

I love Zepp!! It has really helped in making me better at baseball. My 1 suggestion is that you could give the option of inserting a video of a swing to compare. I had a great video of a swing and I couldnt put it in to look at it, but overall it is an awesome app!

With the new multi-player update, the management of my teams players becomes harder. I cant find any place to modify my players bats. Not sure if this update is more stable, as the last version would occasionally crash while live syncing during batting cages. Update 4/25/2015: Theyve since updated the app for me to update and control the different bats of all my players. I love the insights given for my main player (one of my daughters), however the bat angle insight seems to be particular to a baseball player with the incoming pitch angle being coming at a downward angle, when in fact for my softball playing daughter, the pitches come straight on or even upwards for rise balls. Id like to see insights for softball players. I coach my sons baseball team and two of my daughters softball teams, and I wish I could organize players into teams or groups. I also havent found a way to see or get insights or batting reports for all my other players that I wish I could get to help every one of my players. Lots of great improvements. Update (4/15/2016): Since the update to 3.0 and 3.0.1 I cannot use the Zepp app on my iPhone. It stays in "Transferring Offline Data", presumably trying to update my old player and team data from the old version of the app. However, after trying to upload for a few minutes the app just crashes and I cannot do anything. Its basically useless right now. I have a Zepp 1 sensor and will hopefully get an update that works soon.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS!!! I had the first generation Zepp sensor and it was great! I had all of my team in there as well as my daughter and incorporating the Zepp into BP was excellent! Then the stupid "upgrade" comes along, wont work with the original sensor I have. Apparently Im not alone as they send out a "fix"- this winds up deleting all my team records that Ive been saving since last year. Now I also may have broken the sensor trying to "restore factory settings"- started out as an invaluable tool, now its just another money-making scam. Caveat Emtor

App upgrade has broken the function of iPhone app. Zepp please send out a patch!

So zepp pushes this new update, and I loose all the 3-D swing data. Zepp support walked me through an easy fix to get it back. App crashes periodically. However, biggest complaint is that they bundle app with too many videos, training suggestions, experts, etc. Difficult to get to actual swing data. Take out the fluff and give me just what I bought the zepp for... My swings.

Perfect for getting swing back in line

I gave it 5 stars because when it works its awesome. But I have one problem. I can connect the sensor to my old iPhone 6 but when I try to connect it to my iPhone 6s it wont let me.

This latest version is just that... Outstanding! The multiplayer features tied with the website have really come together as a very valuable team tool. As a user from day one I have watched the development soar of late. I love the new plan settings and recommendations. And the 10 swing quick analysis is key addition. *** FEATURE REQUEST- would like the ability to merge multiple players. Even if it was only through support. Support has told me no can do.

The best tool for hitters out there.

It is an amazing app which enhances practice and helps the kids understand what youre saying and even to see what youre saying. The sensor also allows the kids to be more intense during practice. Awesome

Overall product is great, this rating is specifically about this version of app. Even with issues below the product works well. Just not as easy to use or as reliable as older app version. This version seems to be full of bugs, difficult to use on a iPhone, and not nearly as easy to navigate as the old version. Connecting to sensor takes several tries, the app continually crashes when in video analysis mode. The camera wont zoom in or out and the default camera setting is from a long distance using face on. The scroll bar is way too close to the buttons so app constantly switches modes in scrolling. Definitely a big downgrade in functionality and layout from previous. There is still no option to import external video for comparison either. Seems like Zepp rushed this out to go with new sensor.

The sensor is great but new app is HORRIBLE doesnt sync all videos across devices, app crashes, buttons too close together. Im a coach and only half of my 11 players videos synced from phone to iPad!? App needs TONS of work.

Ive came off injury, and my swing was very rusty, I used the Zepp, it helped me figure out what was wrong, Im back and hitting better then ever.

Still crashes when jumping around looking at swings, still issues with connecting to sensor. Single swings show green and yellow number but daily report shows red number.
